It is the purchase of a physical cask of maturing spirit. You own the cask, which is stored in bond while it matures; you can hold it for the long term, bottle it under your own label, or sell it.

The value of a cask can fall as well as rise, casks can take time to sell, and returns are not guaranteed. Past performance of the whisky market is not a reliable guide to the future. Nothing on this website is financial advice, and we recommend seeking independent professional advice before buying a cask as an investment.

Casks are held in bonded warehouses with controlled temperature and humidity, and are insured while in storage. Ask us for the storage and insurance terms that apply to a specific allocation.
